Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Bachelor's degree or BSc in Mechanical Engineering/or Mechatronics Engineering from a recognized university.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance and projects in FMCG manufacturing plants.
- Training and practical experience in planned and predictive maintenance principles, with at least three years of management experience.
- Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Projects, Visio, and Autocad.
- Knowledge of OHS Act, BCEA, and other legal requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, direct, and coordinate activities related to equipment design, construction, modification, and maintenance.
- Establish standards for installation, quality control, testing, and inspection according to engineering best practices and safety regulations.
- Select and confirm engineering vendors/contractors' capability and qualifications for specified work.
- Deliver capital and maintenance projects within budget and timeline constraints.
Technical Expertise:
- Experience with heavy and light, high and low-speed, rotating and stationary equipment, auxiliary and associated equipment.
- Ability to read and develop mechanical, electrical, and PID drawings.
- Familiarity with ERP, CMMS, and MRO systems.

- Self-starter with superior analytical capabilities and problem-solving skills.
- Computer literate with excellent communication and leadership qualities.
- High integrity and ability to make decisions under pressure.
- Willingness to work outside normal hours and delegate effectively.
- Neat, well-organized, and able to deploy maintenance improvement solutions.
