We are seeking a talented Junior Accountant to join our finance team at SAOTA. In this role, you will play a crucial part in various accounting tasks, including preparing financial statements, reconciling accounts, processing invoices, and supporting senior accountants with audits and tax compliance. Responsibilities:
- Record and process daily transactions such as sales, purchases, payments, receipts, and invoices.
- Update and maintain the general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and other accounting records.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support financial decision-making.
- Support senior accountants with internal and external audits and tax filings.
- Maintain and update accounting records and documents in compliance with standards and regulations.
- Research and resolve accounting issues and discrepancies promptly.
- Perform other accounting duties as assigned to contribute to the smooth functioning of the finance department.
Required Skills
- Accounting: 2 to 3 years
Candidate Requirements
Requirements:
- Qualification in Accounting or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of Accounting experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Familiarity with Pastel Partner or similar accounting software.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to changing business needs to support continuous improvement.
- All employees are required to have an uncapped 20 Mbps (up and download) minimum internet Connectivity line.
