· Responsible for Creditors Payments, invoicing and recording of financial transactions.
· Capturing and processing all invoices.
· Ensuring that all payments that are paid comply with the set standards and contain all the necessary required information.
· Capturing invoices into Pastel from all supporting documentation supplied by the Finance division.
· Ensure that all invoices and supporting documentation is complete and approved.
· Ensure transactions are properly recorded and entered into the computerised accounting system.
· Maintain, update, create, secure, and archive petty cash records and files.
· Follow up on pro-forma invoices for tax invoices after payment was made.
· Obtain suppliers statements monthly, reconcile to Pastel Accounts Payables ledger and pay away.
· Balance project code reports to general ledger account to make sure it was allocated to the correct cost code.
· Deal with suppliers & resolve all outstanding queries timeously.
· Accurate & tidy filing of all documentation
· Capturing of employee timesheets
· To carry out any reasonable instruction and duties as directed by accountant even if it does not fall under normal duties.
· Answering the switchboard

Required Skills
- Basic Bookkeeping And Accounting: 3 to 4 years
- Ability To Calculate, Post And Manage Accounting Figures And Financial Records.: 3 to 4 years

Candidate Requirements
Good understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles
Experience in Finance and/or Administration positions –
§ 3-5 years.
Good knowledge of Finance processes and procedures.
Relevant tertiary education will be an advantage.
Proficient Computer Literacy, high tech environment, especially Microsoft Office
§ Previous Pastel experience will be advantageous.
§ Must be bilingual – able to understand, write and speak Afrikaans and English fluently.
§ Good planning, organisational and time management skills.
§ Ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.
§ Computer skills including the ability to operate computerised accounting, spreadsheet, and word-processing programs at a highly proficient level.
