Dis-Chem Pharmacies has an opportunity available for a Development Team Lead (Qualified Pharmacist) for CJ Speciality in Midrand. The main purpose of the role is to manage a sales team & activities to drive volume and margin growth. To develop and implement direct business sales strategies with focus on results in a strong customer base to meet the business goals.
Minimum Requirements:
Essential:
- Gr12/Matric or Senior Certificate
- BPharm Degree
- 3- 5 Years relevant experience in Hospital and Retail Industry
- Knowledge of Surgical and Ethical stock
Advantageous:
- Diploma or Degree in Sale or Marketing
Job function:
- Create sales plans for the development, implementation, and monitoring of the performance
- of the Telesales team.
- Assist the CJ Specialty Development Manager to lead and coach the team to achieve excellence and provide exceptional customer care.
- Set, monitor and achieve sales targets for Telesales Team.
- Develop and execute metrics to track, monitor growth & customer engagement.
- Generate growth in volume, market share and profitability ensuring business goals are achieved through effective sales team management.
- Collaborate and management of cross functional team meetings, aligning Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain and Credit departments.
- Ensure budget and revenue targets are met.
- Pricing Strategy implementation, by adhering to pricing policies, to maximize profit.
- Assist the Manager with daily admin tasks, product listing, vendor negotiations and customer pricing.
- Develop with internal stakeholders a Sales strategy by understanding customer needs.
- Develop Strategic partnership frameworks to achieve mutual value and encourage collaboration with stakeholders.
- Provide insights into Strategic planning by sharing latest market trends with the intent to grow the CJ Speciality.
- Build and promote productive, long lasting customer relationships through partnering and understanding their needs to create and maintain sustainable relationship.
- Manage segmentation and positioning strategies to manage conflict.
Competencies:
Essential:
- In depth knowledge of hospital surgical/consumables.
- English – read, write and speak well
- Comprehending fundamental arithmetic like addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

- Computer Skills – Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
Advantage:
- Knowledge of Marketing and Sales Practices and Principles. Knowledge of the Retail, Beauty, FMCG, Health & Pharmacy industry in SA.
