Employer: Network Contracting Solutions
1. Help identify and pursue new business opportunities that align with the company's goals and objectives.
2. Apply their technical knowledge and understanding of the engineering industry to identify potential clients and projects, and to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
3. Support the Business Development Manager in administrative tasks, such as managing databases, handling customer complaints and inquiries, coordinating the business development team's activities, and providing general engineering & administrative support to the department.
4. Monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators and making recommendations to improve aftersales processes.
5. Assist the Business development Manager with the development and implementation of strategies to improve the company's sales intake and enhance client satisfaction.
6. Work closely with other departments, such as projects after sales, and engineering, to identify client needs and develop solutions that meet those needs.
7. Coordinate a team of sales administrators, providing guidance and training to team members, and overseeing the processing of warranty claims and returns.
8. Analyse client data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement, as well as developing and maintaining positive relationships with key clients.
MINIMUM ENTRY-LEVEL QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
OTHER
Three or more years’ experience in aftersales or customer services and/or sales experience in an OEM engineering and fabrication environment.
Master’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration is an added advantage.
ESSENTIAL ENTRY-LEVEL KNOWLEDGE:
(A) Technical knowledge: A strong understanding of engineering principles, industry trends, and technology to be able to identify potential business opportunities and to communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
(B) Sales and Marketing: Ability to develop and execute marketing plans, generate leads, and close deals. Developing relationships with customers, understanding their needs, and presenting technical information in a clear and persuasive manner, creating sales pitches and conducting negotiations.
(C) Market Research: Skilled in market research and analysis to identify market trends, competition, and potential clients.
(D) Project Management: Experience in managing projects, including planning, organizing, and coordinating resources.
(E) Strong verbal and written Communication skills: Able to effectively communicate with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders. Ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders, and present ideas and information in a clear, concise, and persuasive manner, give presentations, create reports, and lead meetings.
(F) Relationship building skills: Able to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders in order to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
(G) Industry knowledge: Understanding of the industry in which the company operates, including regulatory and compliance issues, market trends, and emerging technologies.
(H) Business acumen: An understanding of business principles such as finance, marketing, and sales to be able to develop and execute effective strategies for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
(I) Analytical skills: Able to analyse market trends, industry data, and financial metrics to identify potential business opportunities and to develop effective strategies for pursuing them.
