Position: Maintenance Manager - 5 Star Villa, Eastern Cape
Job Summary: As a Maintenance Manager for our 5-star villa in the Eastern Cape, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of property maintenance. Your role will involve ensuring the seamless functioning of facilities, managing a team of maintenance staff, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:

Property Maintenance:
- Supervise and conduct regular inspections of the villa's facilities, identifying maintenance needs and coordinating repairs.
- Oversee preventive maintenance programs for equipment, systems, and structures.

Team Leadership:
- Lead and manage a team of maintenance staff, providing guidance, training, and support.
- Schedule and delegate tasks effectively, ensuring optimal productivity.

Vendor Management:
- Collaborate with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance services.
- Evaluate vendor performance and negotiate contracts to ensure cost-effectiveness.

Health and Safety Compliance:
- Implement and enforce health and safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for guests and staff.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and address any issues promptly.

Budget Management:
- Develop and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
- Monitor expenses, analyze variances, and recommend cost-saving measures.

Emergency Response:
- Establish and implement emergency response procedures, ensuring the availability of necessary resources and staff training.
- Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies and provide effective solutions.

Environmental Sustainability:
- Implement and promote sustainable practices in maintenance operations to minimize the environmental impact.
- Explore energy-efficient solutions and technologies.
Required Skills
- Maintenance: 2 to 3 years
Candidate Requirements
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager in a luxury hospitality setting, preferably with 5-star villa experience.
- Technical expertise in various aspects of property maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairs.
- Leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of local regulations and safety standards.
