Employer: Farm Manager SA
Kigumba Area, Kiryandongo District – Uganda: Our client is looking for a Human Resources & Administration Director to join the team. Only candidates with the relevant experience will be considered.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

- At least seven years of human resources or related management experience
- Experience with occupational health and safety
- Significant experience managing training programs
- Proven experience designing and managing performance management systems
- Experience managing human resources information systems
- Management capabilities with proven capacity to oversee and motivate diverse teams
- Experience with agriculture is a significant plus
- Extraordinary attention to detail
- Exceptional work ethic, proactive attitude and energy
- Willingness to live at least three weeks per month in Kigumba; one week working from Kampala satellite office
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks of any scale in a high-pressure environment
- Broad range of computer skills
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Execute the human resources strategy of the company
- Implement the policies set out in the human resource manual and recommend updates to the policies as applicable
- Develop & implement recruiting strategies to acquire leading talent
- Establish & implement on-boarding processes
- Manage company trainings on corporate goals and values
- Implement programs that build company morale
- Manage employee files and the HR Information System
- Develop, implement and monitor a performance management system to develop and retain leading talent
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws
- Participate in the disciplinary committee
- Oversee the implementation of the human resources elements of the company’s gender strategy
- Responsible for the development and implementation of the company’s occupational health and safety strategy
- Contribute to internal communications
- Manage payroll, casual labor, and contractor requisitions
- Manage & update the organization chart, pay scales, and role descriptions
- Oversee the administration of the human resource programs
- Oversee community relations and public relations
- Oversee health and safety
- Oversee gender related initiatives
- Oversee security
- Oversee site administration
- Undertake various other tasks to be assigned to you
