Job Specification
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The collection of the debtor's book in terms of the established
policies and procedures, on HIS (Hospital system) programme, in
various categories i.e. Medical Aid, WCA, private patients,
etc
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Including the following, but not limited to
- Effective collection of the debtor's book
(+/-1200accounts)
- Maintain the low DSO (Debtors Days)
- Maintain arrears at an acceptable level
- Ensure optimal utilisation of management information to ensure
the diligent management of abnormal risk accounts
- Monitor possible bad debts on an ongoing basis
- Ensure that the control measures are in place so that
recoverable accounts are not written off prematurely
- Abide by the monthly targets set by the collections manager,
address deviations and rectify with specific action plans
- Ensure control and management (housekeeping) of the various
collection systems
- Regular reporting feedback and liaison with management
- Maintaining of patient confidentiality
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- 2 Years credit control experience, preferably in a Hospital
Environment.
- Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of Medical Aid, WCA & private paying.
- Financial background
- Knowledge of the HIS (Hospital system) will be advantage
