Job Description:
Position: SQL Developer
Salary: R 120 000.00 - R 140 000.00 per
annum
Area: Johannesburg
Sector: IT
The Database Administrator (DBA) is responsible for providing
technical support for the database environment including the
maintenance and support of the databases. Working closely with the
current SQL DBA Team, understanding the current environment and
adhering to procedures and processes is essential
Qualification:
- MCTS (SQL Server Administration)
- Relevant tertiary qualification
Experience:
- 3 years Microsoft SQL Server experience
- Basic understanding of fundamental infrastructure tools and
services such as SANs, backup technologies, networking and Active
Directory technologies as they relate to SQL Server.
- Working knowledge of SQL Server 2005, SQL Server 2008, SQL
Server 2008 R2
- Knowledge of SQL Server 2000 advantageous
- Knowledge of T-SQL
- Working knowledge of SQL Integration Services, SQL Analysis
Server, SQL Reporting Server and data warehousing.
- Working knowledge of database backup, replication, log shipping
and mirroring experience
