Job Description:
STCW Qualification second Engineer unlimited or Chief Marine
Engineer Officer or equivalent
Management Advanced Diploma
Postgraduate Diploma Business Management
Minimum 5 years Marine Operations or related experience in the
field
The following would be an advantage:
Master of Business Administration
Master of Laws (Maritime Studies)
Diploma in Labour Law
Must be prepared to undergo Psychometric testing
SAMSA port marine operations related legislation
Merchant Shipping Act
NOSA, ISO, OHS Act
Project management
Corporate Governance
Operational and Business planning
Environmental management principles
Manage and maintain profitability of the business unit through
regular budgetary monitoring and corrective actions
Manage and maintain effectives maintenance protols for the
entired marine operations fleet
Human resource development and conflict management of staff
Strategic planning for the current and future business needs as
well as capital resource requirements and costs
Customer engagements and stakeholder management
Ensure adherence and maintainance of quality management
systems
Promotion of a safe working environment and culture
Manage and maintain effective mooring operations
Manage and maintain effective water to ships
Ensure adequate and effective reporting mechanisms
Ensure proper corporate governance and risks averse measures in
place
Manage and maintain corporate craft for effective corporate
image
