Job Description:
Working on Fire/ FFA Operations t/a Working on Fire is looking
for two dynamic and self motivated persons to fill the position of
Provincial Coordinator in Gauteng and North West
1. POST: 1 Year Contract
2. SALARY: Package: Salary negotiable within
set guidelines.
3. CENTRES: Centurion Pretoria in Gauteng /
Potchefstroom area in North West
4. RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties will include the following;
Determine requirements, prioritize, dispatch and coordinate Veld
and Forest fire suppression units in accordance with established
protocol and procedures. Record and communicate operational
details, fire related weather and administrative Procedures. Liaise
with key stake holders. Personnel management of seasonal
dispatchers will include mentoring.
5. REQUIREMENTS
Key competencies include the following:
- Demonstrated leadership
- Ability to work in a team
- Ability to work undirected, under pressure and extraordinary
hours
- Adaptable to change
- Self -confident, excellent communication skills and public
speaking
- Computer literacy - competency in Microsoft Office Suite
- A valid driver's licence and own vehicle.
- Type 40 word per minute.
- Own laptop computer with 3G and Windows XP software
- Experience in two way radios and terminology
- Office administration
- Emergency services dispatching, minimum of 2 years will be an
advantage
- Minimum of 3 years management experience.
- Fluent in English.
- Must be willing and able to travel on short notice
