Job Description:
Min of 5 years driving experience. (Collecting waste an
advantage).
Contactable references.
Previous experience collecting waste.
In terms of Tankers, must have driven a tanker before.
Valid PRDP - (DGP permits an advantage)
No criminal record or record of violence (to be confirmed by
operations manager)
Passed a recognisable driver evaluation process (available from
the logistics department).
Must be in possession of an advanced training certificate.
Must be able to work all necessary control instruments in side
the vehicle. PTO training needed.
Driver must not have any fines outstanding on his/ hers
name.
Proof of residence.
Good communication skills.
Transport to and from workplace must not be a problem.
Must be literate enough to be able to handle day to day
administration.
Have good knowledge of theNational Roadtraffic act.
Must be able to work a minimum of 45 hrs per week.
Hazchem certificate optional.
Must have a good history of stable career moves.
Must have knowledge on how to operate the vacuum system on a
tanker.
Must be able to read and act to the different road conditions.
And local area knowledge.
Driver must not have had any serious fines logged against him in
the past.
Must be of good health.
Must provide proof of passed medical.
Must have excellent vision.
Must be able to work overtime and/or shifts.
Must have a good understanding on AARTO.
