DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH


Food Services Supervisor
Remunetation: R 84 483 PeR annum
Service Benefits: 13th cheque, employer’s contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical-aid allowance.


Requirements: minimum educational qualification: Junior Certificate (or equivalent).

Experience: Appropriate experience.

Inherent Requirement of the job: Must be willing to work over-time and shifts including weekends
and public holidays when required to do so.

Competencies (knowledge/Skills):

  • Computer literacy
  • Basic financial literacy
  • Understanding of normal and therapeutic diets
  • Knowledge of basic food groups and cooking methods
  • The ability to communicate (read and write) in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape.

Duties (key Result areas/outputs):

  • Supervise food service personnel
  • Process food service statistics
  • Budget control
  • Control over food production and meal serving
  • Order and receive supplies
  • Supervise and control over stock and equipment
  • Maintain safety and hygienic standards.
