DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH
Food Services Supervisor
Remunetation: R 84 483 PeR annum
Service Benefits: 13th cheque, employer’s contribution to the
pension fund, housing and medical-aid allowance.
Requirements: minimum educational qualification: Junior Certificate
(or equivalent).
Experience: Appropriate experience.
Inherent Requirement of the job: Must be willing to work
over-time and shifts including weekends
and public holidays when required to do so.
Competencies (knowledge/Skills):
- Computer literacy
- Basic financial literacy
- Understanding of normal and therapeutic diets
- Knowledge of basic food groups and cooking methods
- The ability to communicate (read and write) in at least two of
the three official languages of the Western Cape.
Duties (key Result areas/outputs):
- Supervise food service personnel
- Process food service statistics
- Budget control
- Control over food production and meal serving
- Order and receive supplies
- Supervise and control over stock and equipment
- Maintain safety and hygienic standards.
