General Specialist and emergency Services)
Administration Clerk: Support (Nursing Services)
Remuneration: R 101 007 Per annum
Service Benefits: 13th cheque, employer's contribution to the

Requirements: minimum educational qualification: Senior Certificate
(or equivalent).
Experience: Appropriate experience.
Competencies (knowledge/Skills):
- Good interpersonal relations with supervisor, colleagues and
the public
- Knowledge of and exposure to relevant policies and legislation
applicable to the Public Service
- Good telephone etiquette
- The ability to communicate (written and verbal) in at least two
of the three official languages of the Western Cape
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Word
- Ability to analyse available data and compile reports.
Duties (key Result areas/outputs):
- Provide general administrative support for all operational
activities of the Nursing Department
- Arrange the Department's meetings, events and workshops
- Collect and monitor receipt of data/information for the
compilation of reports
- Maintain a database to collate, store and manipulate data to
strengthen implementation and monitoring systems (staff work
allocation lists, night duty hours, Sunday and public holiday
hours, overtime hours, courses attended, etc.)
- Provide administrative support to, and undertake additional
tasks assigned by the department head
- Provide support with provisioning and procurement functions of
the Nursing Department
- Provide assistance to the office of the Head of Institution and
Head of Clinical Services in the absence of the allocated clerical
support staff.
