DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH
Administrative Officer: Registry (Medical Records)
Remuneration: R 149 742 Per annum
Service Benefits: 13th cheque, employer’s contribution to the
pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance.
Requirements: minimum educational qualification: Senior Certificate
(or equivalent).
Experience: Extensive experience in records (Registry/Archive)
environment.
Inherent Requirement of the job: Must be willing to work
flexi-time.
Competencies (knowledge/Skills):
- Knowledge of the National Archive Act 43/1996
- Good knowledge of Labour Relations
- Supervisory skills
- Good communication skills both written and verbal in at least
two of the three official languages of the Western Cape
- Computer literacy.
Duties (key result areas/outputs):
- Manage the operations within Medical Records efficiently and
effectively
- Supervise staff in accordance with Human Resources policies and
procedures
- Implement and monitor relevant policies and procedures
- Responsible for checking all registers on a weekly basis
- Manage the destruction of folders and x-rays
- Check the quality of staff members work regularly.
