B.Eng / B.Tech Mechanical degree at a South African
University
Professional registration with ECSA and / or Project Management
Institute
GCC Mines and Works would be an advantage
Skills Required:
At least 10 years working experience in the mineral processing
industry specifically related to coal projects.
Should have at least 5 years solid mining projects
background
Should have a solid track record of project management EPCM
projects
Job Description:
Reporting to the Project Manager, the successful candidate will
be responsible for managing of all Materials Handling systems
comprising a 900m decline conveyor, 2 surface conveyors totaling
+/-22 kms and all loading / transfer points and bunkering systems
for the permanent equipment associated with delivering up to 10,5
Mtpa coal from Shondoni mine site to Sasol Coal supply area. The
position has to ensure the effective coordination and management of
people, finances, safety, quality assurance within this area.
Project Management includes project definition, monitoring
in-house
deliverables, client management, co-ordination of third-party
deliverables and project
reporting. Ensure that a comprehensive range of skills and
experience are available within
the Project Team. Ensure that all tasks within the Project Team
are performed in line with
agreed Client Services, best practices and meet the core
objectives of the project
