Job Description:
Overall Job Objective:
- Monitor, install, support and maintain all of the company’s
corporate services.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Installation: includes the set-up, preparation and
installation of the company’s products for enterprise clients. This
extends to complete end user training and full compliance with all
standards and procedures as set out in the company’s Support
Guidelines.
- Support: ongoing support of the company’s enterprise
client-base as set out in the company’s support Guidelines. This
includes strict compliance with response and escalation procedures
as established with the relevant call center.
- Maintenance: ongoing monitoring and upgrading of all
client installations as may be required from time to time.
- Customer Feedback: ongoing collection of customer
feedback on installed systems, and the ability to recognize future
sales opportunities.
Qualifications:
- MCSE or industry experience equivalent
Experience:
- 2-5 years IT-related business experience important.
- Should have significant knowledge about the Internet/IT
Industry and products.
- Must have experience in all windows platforms, TCP/IP and
firewalls.
- Linux/Unix and storage and backup software experience will be
beneficial.
Computer Skills:
- Total server literacy essential, network troubleshooting,
LAN/WAN topology, Microsoft Exchange and SQL
- Sharepoint would be advantageous.
- Linux/Unix background will be advantageous.
Disposition:
- This person will be the primary interface with our corporate
user base.
- He/she will deal with both end users and the company IT
manager.
- As such they need to be fully conversant with current corporate
IT systems and potential problems.
- They must extend the professional image of the company to their
client-base.
- They need to be able to professionally explain and tutor
clients as well as confidently initiate and troubleshoot the
installation of the company’s systems.
Miscellaneous:
- The technical nature of the product is defined and operational
but ongoing development based on customer feedback will require
some interaction with the company’s Development team.
- Any pre-sales experience will be taken into account
