Job Description:
A large opencast manganese mining Project in the Northern Cape
requires a highly efficient Scheduler with experience base in
materials Handling, construction, electrical construction and
Piping. Main task is support for the Construction manager and
assisting contractors to meet their execution schedule.
Education / Requirements
At least T3/N6 Qualification - Electrical / Civil /
Mechanical
Knowledge about Critical Path and Critical Chain methods
Application with Concerto or ProChain would be an advantage.
Key Performance Areas
* Lead and facilitate the planning process.
* Develop & maintain resource loaded critical path method (CPM)
project master schedules.
* Review schedules from company procurement, engineering and
fabrication subcontractors and inputs data into the project
schedule and provide feedback as needed.
* Progress schedules, analyze performance, conduct critical path
analysis, produce schedule reports and make recommendations for
corrective action measures which mitigate impacts to cost and
schedule. Advise project team as needed.
* Develop and update progress S-Curves and manpower
histograms.
* Review subcontractor document registers.
* Review company and subcontractor man-hour and manning reports,
provide guidance to team as needed.
* Review and analyze schedule impacts of change orders between
company and subcontractors.
* Review purchase recommendations for schedule impact.
* Review and edit project input data into progress reports as
required by company and Client.
* Assist with development of project staffing plans and
budgets.
* Assist in development of project delay claims during project
execution.
* Perform other duties as requested by management.
