Job Description:
Responsible for analysis, reporting and forecasting
on xx Group turnover, debtors assets, income, bad debt and
funding, as well as commercial and financial modelling to
support new business opportunities or product changes for the
Group.
Key Accountabilities &
Responsibilities
- Finance business partnering to Group Product Managers,
including ad hoc financial modeling on pricing scenarios, reporting
and analysis on product income across all products;
- Financial modeling on product/portfolio profitability and new
business opportunities;
- Overall accountability for the following income statement
categories (to month end / budgeting & forecasting): Income,
Net Bad Debt, Interest Paid;
- Responsibility for monthly SME reporting for all card products
including written performance commentary with trend analysis;
- Responsibility for turnover exception reporting including
analysis on customer behavior spends;
- Overall responsibility for calculation of book builds during
budgeting and forecasting cycles across all products;
- Responsibility to liaise with the treasury team during
budgeting and forecasting cycles on funding requirements based on
debtors asset growth;
- Responsibility for provision for bad debts and future
recoveries modelling during budgeting and forecasting cycles
including partnering with the Risk/Decision Science team;
- Overall responsibility for maintenance of budget models
including monthly updating of actuals for book build, turnover,
income statement etc.;
- Responsibility for monthly reporting of the insurance division
(Cell captive) to the commercial team including profitability per
product and trends;
- Responsibility for forward view pricing sensitivity analysis
including macro-economic updates and business rule changes on
products;
- Production of ad hoc reports and presentations and other value
add activities in across Finance.
Minimum requirements
- Business, commerce or quantitative analysis qualification, or
similar.
- 3 - 5 years relevant experience, with minimal 3 years’
experience preferably in consumer finance or wider financial
services industry.
- Strong excel and reporting skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and strive for continuous
improvement.
