Job Description:
Leading petrochemical manufacturer requires the services of a
Technical Specialist to lead a team of technical staff and provide
support to for products from point of manufacture to sales and / or
disposal. The successful incumbent will have at least 5 years in
the fuels industry with an appropriate technical or engineering
tertiary qualification.
DUTIES:
- Manage fuel liquid issues link between various business unites
within SA
- Support the balance between stakeholder requirements
- Provide Technical support for New Product Identification
- Identify new local and/or regional product needs, leading to new
product developments
- Manage the withdrawal of obsolete products (e.g. leaded
gasolines, tank bottoms, etc.)
- Develop plans supporting continuous improvement
- Identify product competency requirements at various levels of
marketing and operational staff and provide interventions
- Manage standardization and harmonization activities for product
quality monitoring systems
- Participate in product-related stakeholder management activities
(particularly industry committees) at zonal/ regional levels,
ensuring effective liaison within various functions
- Support local staff on customer and application issues (e.g. FAQs
and briefings on topical subjects)
Salary: R550 000 to R650 000 per annum
Qualification Required: Technical or Engineering Tertiary
