Job Description:


 

Superintendent: Building & Works
Total Cost to Employer: R383 236.00 per annum
Basic salary: R198 743.00 – R219 373.00 per annum (Level 5) (Ref. TS/05/12)


Requirements:

  • Grade 12
  • Code B driver’s licence
  • Computer literacy
  • National Diploma in Building/N6 plus Trade Test in Civil
  • Two to three years’ experience.

Key performance areas:

  • Coordinate and control the operation of the depot, including monitoring and implementing procedures, establishing resource requirements, planning and scheduling maintenance programmes and evaluating outcomes
  • Monitor and attend to deviations in productivity and performance and attend to specific administrative and information reporting requirements and processes
  • Coordinate tasks/activities associated with the implementation of procedures, as well as monitor and report on sequences/outcomes
  • Plan, prioritise and schedule buildings projects and maintenance work
  • Coordinate and control tasks/activities associated with the control of personnel performance, productivity and discipline
  • Monitor and evaluate progress with regards to repair, construction, installation and maintenance-type work
  • Perform specific administrative tasks/activities associated with the update and maintenance of records/information related to the activities/operations at the depot.
