Superintendent: Fitter & Turner
Total Cost to Employer: R383 236.00 per annum
Basic salary: R198 742.00 – R219 373.00 per annum (Level 5) (Ref.
TS/04/12)
Requirements:
- National Technical Certificate (NTC6) or equivalent
qualification
- Trade Test certification as a Fitter and Turner
- Code B driver’s licence
- Practical supervisory skills
- Leadership skills
- Labour relations skills
- Five years’ working experience as a Fitter and Turner.
Key performance areas:
- Coordinate and supervise sewer and water plants and operating
activities to comply with the Council’s and community needs
- Coordinate and supervise staff activities to ensure that work
is performed according to the work plan, job-cards and ad hoc
instructions received from the Supervisor, and report on activities
performed
- Maintain control over machinery, equipment, tools and materials
to ensure the effective utilisation, application and maintenance
thereof
- Perform administrative and Human Resource-related activities to
ensure the effective and efficient utilisation of resources
- Perform driver activities using a vehicle to ensure the
transport of machinery, equipment and people
- Be on standby when scheduled to do so to ensure proper
assistance when required.
