Technician: Roads
Total Cost to Employer: R452 420.00 per annum
Basic salary: R224 946.00 – R230 603.00 per annum (Level 4) (Ref.
TS/01/12)
Requirements:
- Grade 12
- National Diploma in Civil Engineering
- Code B driver’s licence
- Interpersonal skills
- Project management skills
- Ability to interpret designs and drawings
- Three years’ relevant working experience.
Key performance areas:
- Plan and coordinate the provision of roads and stormwater
infrastructure and the construction and management thereof
- Maintain roads and stormwater infrastructure in the
Ba-Phalaborwa Municipal Area according to given standards
- Plan, coordinate and ensure the provision of roads and
stormwater infrastructure and services
- Perform planning, construction and maintenance activities to
ensure effective control over infrastructure
- Provide input to contracts for construction and maintenance
activities and ensure the effective and efficient operation of the
contracts
- Perform client and public-related services to ensure continuous
service delivery
- Assist in the monitoring and supervision of capital
projects
- Supervise the operation of machinery and personnel within the
Section
- Adhere to tasks given by the Supervisor.
