Job Description:


 

Assistant Accountant: Fleet Management
Total Cost to Employer: R202 121.00 per annum
Basic salary: R134 176.00 – R141 065.00 per annum (Level 8) (Ref. BTO/05/12)


Requirements:

  • Grade 12
  • BCom degree/National Diploma in Fleet Management/Administration or equivalent qualification
  • More than 5 years’ working experience in fleet management
  • Computer literacy
  • Driver’s licence.


Key performance areas:

  • Manage the Fleet Assets Procurement and Capital Budgeting process
  • Prepare a schedule of assets procurement needs and vehicles for disposal
  • Receive new vehicles and operating instructions
  • Arrange for driver/operator training
  • Handle the asset disposal process by preparing schedules of disposable assets and delivering vehicles to sites
  • Handle the annual licensing process by requesting renewals, issuances and display
  • Arrange for Certificates of Fitness
  • Handle the fuel dispensing form browser by authorising and controlling browsers
  • Handle external fuel purchase by validating request renewals, issuances and display
  • Carry out fuel management
  • Handle the accident management process
  • Handle the driver’s licence renewal process
  • Conduct driver performance management and training
  • Conduct vehicle inspections
  • Maintain fleet management policies and procedures
  • Carry out planned maintenance
  • Manage the Fleet Operational Budgeting process
