CRM Developer

Job Description:

The main purpose of this position is to develop CRM related software and act as the CRM technical support specialist.

Qualifications

• Matric / Grade 12/equivalent qualification
• B.Sc. Computer Science / Engineering degree or equivalent qualification would be an advantage.

Experience

• A minimum of three (3) years software development experience. Working experience with the following is a must:
• Sage CRM
• Softline Accpac
• C# (intermediate)
• MS SQL database programming
• ASP web-based applications
• Related hardware

• A working knowledge of Java, C#, ASP, SQL, Crystal Reports, Accpac and CRM are a requirement

Purpose of the role

• To take full responsibility for the development of software intended to provide the end-users with suitable reports or information
• To understand and make use of the Accpac and CRM Framework and components for systems development and enhancement.
• To write queries or develop software from scratch where the CRM Framework and/or E-ware is not sufficient
• To fulfil an advanced Accpac and CRM technical support function ensuring the maintenance of the SQL databases, daily system back-ups, regular archiving, setting up of rules with regards to processes, fault-finding and fault resolution
• To provide training and guidance to the Helpdesk Support staff ensuring efficient support is provided to the end-users
• To develop reports that meet with the needs of end-users
• To develop software according to the approved technical specifications
• To ensure strict compliance with the approved specifications, project plans and related timelines
• To take responsibility for the testing of developed software
