Job Description:
The Business Development division currently has
a vacancy for a Compliance Assistant to be based
in Cape Town, who, reporting to the Compliance and
Regulatory Manager, will be ensuring compliance to
regulations at an operational level by reviewing documents for
compliance, recommending changes to procedures and policies and
maintaining statistical data
Job Outputs:
- Assist with compilation and submission of regulatory reports to
regulatory bodies
- Assist with the preparation and presentation of training
material
- Review existing systems and controls via compliance audits
- Managing existing compliance audit reports, highlighting
regulatory issues with recommended remedial actions and conducting
follow up exercises
- Assisting with compliance complaints according to regulatory
documentation
- Develop monitoring programs and conduct monitoring
exercises
- Attend to ad hoc projects

Qualifications and Experience:
- Legal degree: LLB essential
- 1 to 2 years experience working in a corporate legal
environment
- Knowledge of legislative environment
- Compliance related experience would be advantageous
