Job Description:
Witzenberg Municipality with its Head Office in Ceres, serves
the areas Ceres, Tulbagh, Wolseley, Prince Alfred Hamlet and
Op-die-Berg.
DIRECTORATE: COMMUNITY
MANAGER TRAFFIC SERVICES (REFERENCE: COM 44)

Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Traffic Diploma, K53 and Examiner of Vehicles Diploma, ITO 3
Diploma
- Code B driver’s license
- Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Samras,
Trim, TCS)
- Managerial, supervisory and leadership skills
- Financial management skills
- Conflict handling skills
- High level of responsibility
- Fluency in at least 2 of the 3 official languages in the
Western Cape
- 5 years’ relevant experience
Duties:
- Ensuring that key service delivery priorities are identified
and outcomes managed through continuous assessment, intervention
and adjustment to operational plans
- Cultivating and ensuring a climate conducive to promoting and
sustaining motivational and performance levels, enabling the
Section to contribute positively to the Department’s service level
objectives and outcomes
- Ensuring that unsafe conditions and/or hazards are identified
and rectified, minimising the threat of injury to persons and/ or
damage to property
- Ensuring that any contravention of the laws and bylaws is
appropriately dealt with, contributing to safer community
- Ensuring that adequate traffic policing and road safety
measures are instituted to protect road users and prevent
serious/fatal accidents which would be caused by negligence or
non-compliance
- Ensuring that a prompt and efficient Emergency Fire Service is
made available to communities during disasters in an effort to
restrict the risk of damage to property and/or injury/loss of
lives
- Ensuring that information, advice or opinions on relevant
matters are made available and/or communicated via various mediums
and accurately interpreted by providing adequate and clear
explanation
- Ensuring administrative sequences dictating reporting
requirements and taking care that approval procedures are complied
with and correspondence responded to, by providing accurate
information on the activities of the Section.
Salary: R232 302,48 per annum (Post level T14 of a Grade 4
Municipality) Perk scheme motor vehicle allowance.
