travel section - Groupon Travel
The Role
The Travel Account Executives at Groupon will be dedicated to the
websites travel section and will concentrate their efforts on
building and managing relationships with resorts, hotels and lodges
both across Southern Africa and internationally.
Leveraging our partnerships and extended reach with countries, this
team will identify compelling travel experiences for subscribers
whilst providing maximum customer flow for the destination and its
offerings.
General Responsibilities
Prospect, consult with, and develop close relationships with hotel
chains of all types to obtain compelling deals on travel
experiences for our subscribers
Identify new and creative travel packages to be featured,
leveraging a destination's offerings such as spas, restaurants,
urban safaris, and golf.
Partner and negotiate with directors of marketing and directors of
revenue at each destination to ensure we're bringing the best
possible offerings to our subscribers while customizing the
offering to serve the resort's objectives.
Requirements
2+ years of dedicated business-to-business sales experience.
Preference given to those with prior experience selling into the
accommodation / travel industry.
Experience canvassing and cold-calling into businesses, including
negotiations with director and above level contacts.
Evidence of consistent and current success
Skilled at selling over the phone
Ability to read a map and find true North!
