Job Description:
Key Duties
" Manage the Branch Proposals team and balance available resources
with proposal workload requirements
" Define the processes for clear communications to all parties
involved in the proposal
" To be the main conduit between Branch and Head offices for all
significant proposal communications and approvals
" Define scope of work and agree deliverables with appropriate
functions.
" Organise as appropriate outside enquiries required for estimating
purposes and tender preparation.
" Optimise completion of deliverables for most cost effective
proposals
" Prepare reports as appropriate
" Participation and preparation of execution strategy together with
Construction Manager and Site/Project Manager.
" Participation and preparation of risk management papers
" Preparation of tender documentation for submittal to the
Client
" Prepare and participate in negotiation/questionnaire to support
sales team.
" In the event of an order effect handover papers to the execution
team
" Participate and contribute to Branch Sales/Business Development
meetings
Key Requirements
" To develop the proposal process to streamline proposal
production, reduce proposal costs, and minimise risk to allow
quality proposals and estimates to be made to enhance our ability
to win work.
" To keep the Proposal Manager, Renfrew fully informed of Branch
proposal activities
" Initiate, obtain and review engineering design, procurement,
manufacturing, shipping, sub-contract, project operation, site
activity and estimate to ensure compliance with proposal
specification as appropriate.
" Prepare papers assessing technical, commercial and delivery risks
associated with the project and the capability of the company to
execute the contract efficiently and cost effectively.
" To understand the Customer (internal and external), to be
responsive to his needs, and appreciate the market in order to
deliver complete Customer satisfaction.
" Review and prepare the tender papers, including contributions
from other functions to produce a responsive and competitive
proposal document.
" Ensure compliance with the Company's Business Management Process
and Operating Procedures in order to execute/complete proposal on
time, deliver to Customer satisfaction to win orders.
" To work with Branch management and Sales & Marketing team in
developing market opportunities
Qualifications
- Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel,
PowerPoint, Project, Visio, Outlook and Access etc.
- Diploma/degree in Business/Marketing/Nursing/Surgery is
required
- Experience in the medical equipment/surgical/nursing
industry
- Experience preparing tender or proposal documents.
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong analytical skills and basic accounting
- Ability to effectively communicate in the English language
verbally and have excellent writing skills.
- Ability to read and interpret specifications, international
technical standards, etc.
- Travel and fieldwork may be required.
