Job Description:
Our client a company who is customer focused is looking for an
innovative & skilled Unix Systems Administrator. Company is
based in Centurion.
The successful candidate must have at least 3-5 years proven Unix
sysadmin experience.

Requirements:
3-5 years Unix sysadmin experience.
Knowledge of SAN environments.
Knowledge of Backup environments.
Shell scripting.
SAMBA/winbind experience.
Integration to windows AD.
Exposure to opensource and GPL technologies like squid & syslog
servers.
Responsibilities:
Ensuring that Storage, Archiving, Backup and Recovery (including
Disaster Recovery & High Availability) Procedures are in place
& Functioning Correctly.
Install and Upgrade new OS versions and patches.
Control Access to Resources and Information.
Monitor and Manage System Storage Requirements and Capacity
Planning.
OS and application Performance Monitoring & Tuning.
Developer and User Support.
Assist with Development of Future design strategies.
Writing Documentation, Including Standards and Procedures.
Ensure Server/Application Integrity and Security.
Must have own transport and valid drivers license.
