successfully establish promising models in the area of internet
across the globe. In our many international offices passionate,
dynamic, and highly motivated teams design and implement
internet-based ideas and solutions whilst growing with every
project. Some of our best-known current internet ventures CityDeal
merged with Groupon (fastest growing company ever), eDarling
(largest dating site in Europe), Zalando (largest e-retailer in
Europe) and Wimdu (largest seed capital ever).
A cornerstone for one of our start-ups will be professional and
adequate buying, alongside with long-term supplier relationship
thinking. For that reason we are now seeking a talented Buyer for a
start-up within South African upscale home & living décor
space. Building on a proven model with success in international
markets, this is an incredibly rare opportunity to be part of an
extremely fast moving organization, make immediate impact and take
on significant responsibility from day one.
Ideal Profile
- Enthusiastic about furniture, interior design, accessories and
decoration.
- Experience in sourcing high-end living & décor products from
national and international manufacturers and in managing the
relationships with those brands.
- Understanding of design and aesthetics
- Familiar with the needs and wishes of a female target group
- Great communicator and savvy negotiator
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Structured thinker, fast learner, efficient, meticulous and goal
orientated.
- Friendly, creative and flexible approach
Tasks
- Identify brand and product selection in cooperation with Chief
Buyer
- Initiate and develop long-lasting relationships with
suppliers
- Negotiate creative deals on quantities, product choice, prices
etc.
- Control and analyze sales numbers and inventory management
