Job Description:
Our client is currently looking for a Resident Engineer to work
on a roads project in KwaZulu-Natal.
The successful candidate's responsibilities will include and not be
limited to a qualification in Civil Engineering environment (e.g.
BSc/BEng/BTech degree); Registration with Engineering Council of
South Africa (Pr Eng, Pr Tech); must have at least 5 years'
experience on a construction site and previous experience in SANRAL
rehabilitation projects; to interpret, read and comment on various
technical design drawings and specifications; to monitor and carry
out inspections of the main contractor and the sub-contractor's
work on site; to prepare, read and interpret monthly project
reports; to communicate directly with the Contractor, Engineer and
the client department(s) in terms of progress on site and
compliance of executed work against approved standards and norms as
specified in the design specifications and drawings; to attend site
meetings; and be willing to be based full time on site.
