My Client an Popular Dining Bistro / Restaurant in Pretoria (Cullinan) area , are recruiting for a well experienced Restaurant manager with strong F&B operational skills in high volume busy establihments


* Basic salary: R 20 000.00 - R 25 000.00 - negotiable

Minimum Requirements:

* Candidates applying for this position should reside in the Pretoria and surround or be prepared to relocate within close proximity to the restaurant .

* A certificate or Diploma in Food and Beverage Operations or something similar - preferred
* Minimum Five years' experience as a Restaurant manager in a 4/5 star environment
* Ability to effectively listen and verbally communicate in English with all levels of staff and management
* Ability to work with personal computer software programs such as Excel and Word
* Ability to make decisions and work independently
* Excellent organizational skills
* Establish and maintain happy, healthy and stable working relations with all staff and management

Skills You will need to have :

* Excellent interpersonal skills for diplomatically handling staff and customers;
* Strong written and oral communication skills for managing business admin and personnel matters;
* Good business awareness for achieving successful performance;
* Teamworking skills to be able to lead a team and be a part of it;
* Strong planning and organisational skills to run a streamlined operation;
* The ability to work independently and confidently to make your own decisions;
* Problem-solving ability to resolve issues as they arise;
* Impeccable service standards, clean work habits and attention to detail;
* Ability to multitask in an upscale, high volume environment with efficiency;
* Assertiveness and able to lead others and positively influence employee behavior;
* The candidate should be enthusiastic, energetic, passionate, creative and be a team player - he/she should be able to take initiative and go the extra mile;
* Be restaurant fit and be able to work within a stressful environment, serve at least 100 customers.

Key Responsibilities :

* Complete management of the restaurant
* Opening and Closing of the Restaurant
* Managing all interactions with guests and staff
* Maintaining quality excellence and top service in a high pressure environment
* Ensuring proper management of stock
* Assist with the recruitment, training, and development of team members.
* Set departmental targets and objectives, work schedules, policies and procedures
* Achieve company objectives in sales, service, quality, appearance of facility, and sanitation.
* Create a positive and productive work environment
* Comply with regulations, health, fire and safety legislation
* Ensure strong communication and host team member meetings on a regular basis
* Evaluate guest service levels with a focus on continuous improvement
