My client is a growing company, and need an experienced Account Manager to join their energetic Sales Team. The successful candidate will be required to developing long-term relationships with customers whilst helping to grow the subscription based revenue through price increases and new product sales.

The focus of the position is to satisfy the customers’ needs and requests, respond to their queries in a timely manner and aspire to deliver a positive customer experience. They are seeking a passionate Accounts Manager who will partner with their customers and ensure their long-term success.

This role will be based at their Edenvale office but most of the customer interactions will be at our customers’ premises and therefore regular travel will be required. They have a national footprint so flying to other cities will be a monthly occurrence.

Responsibilities


  • Operating as the lead point of contact for any and all matters specific to the customers

  • Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting relationships

  • Negotiating contracts and price increases to maximize profit

  • Develop new business from existing clients and actively seek new opportunities

  • Collaborate with their sales team to achieve sales quotas and grow our business

  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives

  • Communicate clearly the progress of monthly / quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders

  • Forecast and track key account metrics

  • Assist with high severity requests or issue escalations as needed

Requirements


  • Proven work experience as an Account Manager within a sales team (Minimum 7 years’ experience in this role)

  • Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive level

  • Solid experience with MS Office (particularly MS Excel)

  • Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs

  • Proven ability to manage multiple account management projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail

  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Must have valid driver’s license

  • Minimum matric qualification, ideally to have a bachelor’s degree or diploma
