BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF JOB PURPOSE:
To secure new business by marketing the Company’s services within the geographic boundaries if the assigned region.
New Business Sales
- Meet and exceed monthly new business sales target
- Sell the Company’s services to all customers within set regional boundaries
- Ensure that the account is secured in its entirety i.e .maximum potential
- Negotiate gross profits in line with company objectives
- Prospecting new clients
- Conduct needs analysis
- Propose customised client solution and rate negotiation
- Identify and secure sales opportunities with new business accounts
- Optimisation of sales volumes and prizes
- Ensure monthly sales targets, new account targets are achieved and exceeded
- Report to the Sales Manager on matters such as:
i. Market trends
ii. Customer suggestions etc.
iii. Competitor activity
- Attend and contribute to sales meetings
- Complete and submit periodic sales reports
Candidate Requirements
Qualifications:
- Grade 12
- Driver’s Licence & own reliable vehicle
- Sales and Marketing Diploma / Degree is beneficial
Experience:
- At least 3 years’ experience and proven track record within a sales / target driven environment.
- Experience in the courier industry is a must.
Knowledge:
- MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Knowledge of the business principles and sales strategy
