  • Do you live & breathe sales/marketing? Are you a versatile marketer motivated by achieving growth and hitting targets? An East African Oil marketing company is looking for a Head of Sales in Kenya grow inbound sales channels (retail, commercial & reseller).
  • You will be responsible for managing the company's marketing initiatives reporting into the Group Managing Director.

  • Deploy successful marketing campaigns and own their implementation from ideation to execution.
  • Assist in formulating company objectives both internally and externally.
  • Relate objectives to desired organization performance and results i.e. market share, growth, profitability, return on investment etc.
  • Devise organization strategy and implementing them in conformity with the organization's specific game plan to reach its objective.
  • Providing guidelines to sales representatives and sales Supervisors on what resources are going to be used to take advantage of opportunities to minimize threats and to achieve desired results.
  • Ensuring the salesmen and the managers operate within the company policy i.e. remaining within the organization methods, procedures, rules and administrative methods associated with converting strategic plan into results. Key job areas of responsibility include area sales target, receivable collection, stock level maintenance, customer, staff training and recruitment, liaise with operations to minimize equipment down time, extension of technical service to customers' submission of marketing reports, maintenance of marketing information, maintenance of customer, public and internal relations with attention to service excellence and finally ensure all petrol stations conform to anti-dumping regulations.
  • Formulating the entire market departmental budget and ensuring adherence to it.
  • Ensuring the managers and sales representatives complete as required their written reports and also prevail upon them to prepare a professional negotiation base when visiting commercial customers.
  • Monitoring all marketing reports as far as performance of each dealer is concerned and replace the poor performers or train them to uplift their standard.
  • Sitting in the Development Committee and active participation on discussions on design works for new stations.
  • Promote customer, company relation by participating in public meetings and constant discussion with other oil companies on matters of mutual interest. 
  • Studying the general economic condition and advice the management of changes that may jeopardize our investment or our continued existence.
  • Liaising with Lubricants manager to monitor lubricants life cycle in the market place and retire them on their declining state.
  • Attending to any task as may be assigned by the Group Managing Director or any other authority.
  • Ensure compliance to ISO 9001:2008 QMS requirements in all tasks.
