In accepting the appointment of the applicant to the position of assistant manager the following duties will mainly be expected:
Preparing and serving breakfast and/or dinner.
Purchasing of groceries, cleaning materials, electricity, airtime and all items which fall within the scope of Guesthouse necessities.
Purchasing of all items necessary for guesthouse improvements as instructed by the manager.
Ensuring that the manager is informed and kept up to date regarding all bookings affecting him or her in such a manner that enables him or her to properly carry out his or her duties.
Restocking all necessary amenities.
Making payment of all necessary accounts and salaries.
Managing the employees appointed to the cleaning of designated rooms and other related areas.
Performing proper inspection of the designated rooms, dining room and other necessary areas in a manner that meets the standards reasonably expected by the employer.
Attending to incoming phone calls and electronic e-mails as swift as possible.
Ensuring that photographs and information are up to date on all websites.
Ensuring all information brochures are up to date and on display.
Attending to enquiries, requests and bookings made by guests in a professional and swift manner.
Keeping proper record of all bookings and payments on Nightsbridge.
Keeping proper record of all invoices.
Performing the duties associated with accommodating potential and residing guests in a manner that meets the standards reasonably expected by the employer.
