Computacenter, a leading UK based services & solutions company is looking to recruit a Junior Messaging Support Analyst to join our Bellville office.

Messaging support analyst specialising in messaging and collaboration technologies, supporting contracted Computacenter customers.

  • Supporting Computacenter customers’ messaging and collaboration environments remotely from Cape Town

  • Incident investigation and resolution in accordance with agreed SLAs and working within the ITIL framework

  • Pro-active monitoring using, amongst others, automated tools/reports where available

  • Project work for new deployments/migrations/upgrades as required

  • Root-cause analysis for complex issues as per the problem management process

  • Out-of-hours standby, approximately 1 week per month

  • Ad-hoc out of hours work as required for changes and project work

  • Creating and reviewing on a regular basis documentation assisting the team in its day-to-day work


3-4 years’ experience in most, if not all, of the following areas:
Implementing and supporting Lotus Domino 8.x and Lotus Notes Client (desirable, but not essential)
Implementing and supporting Microsoft Exchange 2007/2010/2013 and/or Exchange Online/Office 365 not a pre-requisite, but would be a definite advantage
Implementing and supporting Microsoft OCS and/or Lync 2010/2013
Knowledge and experience of Symantec Enterprise Vault (email archiving)
Awareness and support knowledge of email security and hygiene products like Symantec Mail Security for Exchange, Mimecast, MessageLabs and Cisco IronPort
Knowledge and experience of supporting Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms such as BlackBerry Enterprise Server/Good/Citrix XenMobile/MobileIron
Windows AD skills and network protocols and services like TCP/IP and DNS
Excellent verbal and written (English) communication skills

Desirable Knowledge/Skills:
Experience of supporting Office 365/Exchange Online deployments is not a pre-requisite but would be a distinct advantage as would experience with Mimecast or similar cloud-based email hygiene service

Essential Qualifications:
MCSE and/or certification in any of Exchange 2010/2013 and/or Exchange Online/Office 365

Desirable Qualifications:
Certification relating to Lotus Domino, Mimecast, Enterprise Vault or Microsoft Lync/OCS
