Reporting to the Head of payments business, the Senior Web Developer will be responsible for the development of software products in conformance to the specification, architecture and development methodologies of the company.

Job Outputs

· Collaborate with seniors in the design of product architecture

· Develop new products against business requirements and the solution design (with a focus on front end web development)

· Develop major enhancements for existing products in production

· Fix escalated bugs for existing products in production

· Share technical knowledge among peers

· Mentor more junior developers

· Where suitable take developmental lead on specific projects

Core Qualifications

· BSc or BTech degree preferred but not required

· Good understanding of Computer Science principles especially SOA, TDD, Web/Mobile 2.0 and distributed systems

· Strong front end web development background

· 4+ years total development experience

· 2+ years experience in HTML, CSS, JSON, Ajax Javascript (JQuery or equivalent)

· 2+ years in server side development including REST and Web services (.Net or Java preferred)

· Competent with general technology, computer hardware and familiar with online server infrastructure

· Public website demonstrating work

Additional Skills

· Experience in EXT Javascript library or GWT

· Silverlight or flash experience

· Experience in secure systems

· Mobile experience
