OUTPUTS

• Technical support of infield Core 2 decoders
• Specification of product enhancements (stability and feature enhancements) to infield Core 2 decoders
• End of product life management
• Executive information maintenance on infield Core 2 decoders.
• Consulting role to QA
• Trouble shooting on infield Core 2 decoders
• Supply direction and be central point of liaison with Field Services
• Consultant to Software and Hardware Architects
• Consultant to Middleware and System Integration team
• White papers on emerging technologies or business challenges/opportunities
• Strategic business cases to exploit opportunities available to MultiChoice
• Input to the Core 2 decoder strategic roadmap
• Support interactive and enhanced applications and initiatives
• Manage relationships with decoder hardware and software suppliers
COMPETENCIES

Functional
• Minimum 5 years Set-top box Development/Support experience
• Digital decoder hardware and software
• Pay TV industry, specifically MCA Broadcasting
• Applicable Regulatory knowledge
• Electronic communication; specifically Television and Satellite broadcasting – including but not limited to: Modulation, Compression; and Encryption.
• Market and trends analysis

Qualifications
